When I first heard "AN AMERICAN TRILOGY" on the radio years and years ago I loved it so much I wanted to know the name of the song and who was singing it because it was nothing but beauty to my ears. "DANNY BOY" was not written by Mickey Newbury but he handles it so nicely it is as if he had written it himself.
