HIGHLIGHTS: New London 62, NFA 58

Devan Williams, the sophomore at New London, augmented his 42-point season opening game by raining threes like hailstones on Norwich Free Academy on Monday night in the nightcap of The Day Holiday Classic.

Williams made four of them, including a halfcourt shot at the first-half horn, leading the Whalers to a 62-58 victory over their time-honored rival in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I game.
