I restore my faded headlights on my MINI Cooper S and Honda Accord with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and an old buffing pad on a drill. It's very easy and fast to restore headlights this way, and it will work as long as your headlights aren't too damaged and still have clear coat on them. Always wax your headlights to prevent further damage, also use a UV headlight preventative treatment. Plastic headlights will fade eventually no matter what you do, if they don't last from the factory, you can't expect them to last otherwise. Restoring your headlights will increase the value and appeal of your car, and will increase safety as your lights will be as bright as the factory intended. Faded headlights will significantly reduce brightness.
