DIY | Wall decor using pizza box | Best out of waste | Mural art using waste card box and clay

Easy hand-made 3d wall decor using a pizza box, modeling clay, tissue paper, spray paint, and white glue. No fancy tools required.

Required items:
1. Pizza Box
2. Paper tape
3. Tissue paper
4. White glue/Fevicol
5. Water and brush
6. Play-doh or Modeling clay or Homemade clay or Air hardening clay
7. Black Spray paint or Acrylic paint
8. Golden Metallic powder
9. Red acrylic paint

How to do:
Step 1: Making base:
- Make sure the pizza box you want to recycle is clean
- Close the box and cover the boxes sides with paper tape
( If you don't have pizza box, you can also use thick cardboard box/cardboard sheet )
Make sure to put a hole in the backside of the box if you wish to hang the wall decor using a nail

Step 2: Creating a rough texture:
- Dilute white glue/Fevicol in water
- Spread the diluted glue on every side of the box except the backside
- Keep tissue paper above it.
- Don't apply too much force otherwise paper might tear.
- Even if the tissue paper is torn, fill the gap with a separate piece of tissue paper.
- Using a brush reapply diluted glue. Gently press down the glue do that a pattern will be created. (don't apply too much pressure)
- Let it dry for some time.

Step 3: Making branches, leaves, and fruits
Branch
- Take a small portion of clay, roll it gently to make it look like thread. Make it in multiple sizes and quantities.
Leaf
- Make small clay ball
- press it down with index finger.
- Using a comp make patterns of leaf
- Take it in your hand and press gently at the top portion
Fruit
- Do the same that is done to make branch but in tiny dimension
- Make tiny clay balls

Step 5: 3d mural art
- Draw base branch structure using glue
- Place clay branches and press it down
- Using a pin or any sharp object make patterns on the branches
- Glue the leaves on the base next to branches
- Glue down tiny balls and branches to make it look like it is hanging down.

Step 6: Painting to give it a classic/Expensive look
- Using spray paint, paint each and every corner of the box in black.
- Use brush and acrylic black paint to cover each and every corner
- Let the paint dry
- Use your fingers to spread the golden metallic powder

The 3d mural art/ recycled pizza box/ wall decor is ready... I have started doing craftwork during the lockdown, let's try crafts while staying at home.
