Cross-Canada Tour: Episode 65

In episode 65 we leave Saulte Ste. Marie and make our way east. We followed the Great Lakes Waterfront out of the Soo and took highway 17B (which is also the Great Lakes Waterfront trail).

we had a beautiful morning biking through the Soo to Echo Bay where we met some fellow cyclists who began their journey in St John's NFL biking to Whitehorse in the Yukon! We met them at the "Loonie" where there is some picnic tables and a Bike repair station. Just before we left my dad noticed he had a flat ( first one this trip). We used the bike station to repair the flat and got back on the Great Lakes Waterfront trail.

the GLWF trail takes many turns on rural roads. Some of the terrain was very difficult. Eventually we got back on highway 17 and made it into Bruce Mines and the Thessalon. In Thessalon, Ontario we stopped at the Tim Hortons for a snack and decided to book in at the Viking tent and trailer park just west of Iron Bridge, Ontario. Enjoy!
