Unfortunately, Radu Lupu has been absent from the concert scene here in Los Angeles for the last few seasons. Lupu is a pianist whose recitals are always completely satisfying both technically and musically. He does not try to dazzle the audience with cheap, shallow bravura but goes directly to the heart of the music that he is playing. Hopefully, we will hear him perform here again next season.
