Improve Balance Doing Eye Jumping (SACCADES) - Multiple Sclerosis Exercise
In this video, we will be working on eye plyometrics which are quick powerful movement.
These drills are called Eye Jumps or SACCADES
You use EYE JUMPING daily when you read, watch TV, move around your house, exercise, change direction, and drive/ride in a car.
Practicing and mastering saccade training will increase your balance, strength, endurance, and confidence as you move throughout this world.
When you teach your eyes and your brain to react quicker, you improve your ability to change direction, stabilize your spine, activate your deep core, and ACTIVATE YOUR sitting / standing /walking balance.
Your keys to success:
1. Maintain a RELAXED BODY
2. Maintain TALL SPINE
3. Keep your chin gently tucked
4. Keep your BREATHING slow and controlled. It can be helpful to count out loud with me.
