Unique Toys has a pretty good engineering team. I really like the way the wings hide.
My first production using green screen. Came out pretty well. I even used chroma keying to hide the blue sticky tac. (Couldn’t do it in one part because it messed with his chest plate color.)
Also, yes, I totally forgot to shoot the nose cone transformation between truck and plane modes. Start a petition if you’re salty about it. There were 705 individual pictures used, if you’re into that kind of trivia. No one reads this anyway.

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using the Chrome plugin called "Frame by Frame for YouTube". It turns your , and . keyboard keys into single-frame movement keys. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
