BUCKET HEATERS! (An Overview) personal portable mini water heaters! over 180F(82C)!

video is an overview of a small portable electric water heater. typically called "Bucket Heaters" these small units heat water very fast. *several gallons in just minutes! just drop it in and turn it on. great to have as a backup to your regular water heater in case of failure, good to have when camping (to save on propane) and good for water disinfection/pasteurization in emergency situations. video is a detailed look at a 1000W Bucket Water Heater. (other wattages are avail.) vid. shows many ways to use these including in several different size buckets along with how i use them in the kitchen sink and bath tub. also shown are power readings (amps/watts), and a timed temperature test. *tested 2 gallons since that's the amount that fills the sink. (so a good amount for washing dishes, hand washing clothes, cleaning, floors etc...). the unit will heat much more thou. enough even for a bath. i've used these heaters in a couple of videos with my heat exchangers to make hot air as well. i'll post a link to one below. for ref: price has risen some since i bought this just a couple of months ago. (might be because cold season is approaching). price then = $24 to $34 (one shown in the video was 34). now it's 38 and some are as high as 43. probably drop in the spring. anyway, super good thing to own. thought you might like a detailed look at them. note that different models seem to have different safety features. auto-shut off, thermostats, and some cycle on and off when water level is low etc... one of the biggest pluses is that it won't damage plastic containers and are great for use in 5 gallon buckets. (per information right on the box). i've even used it to heat water in an ice chest (with lid removed). lastly, i've included video footage of the manual (just pause the video player for easy reading). btw, the breakdown on the cost to run it for 12 minutes (or 1/5th of a hour) - (which was the time it took to heat tap water from 73F to over 125F) is only 2 to 3 cents! (assuming your electric is 10 to 15 cents per KWH). so it cost next to nothing to run if you're just heating up a batch from time to time.
