Getting a modded PSP in 2026 was weirdly…healing

This PSP unboxing made me pretty emotional. I first got my PSP back in ninth grade, right around Christmas break. It was nothing short of a miracle to me. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, so getting something like that felt huge — like a once-in-a-lifetime kind of gift. I remember tearing open the box and just staring at it in disbelief, thinking, “There’s no way this thing is real.” The amount of power I could suddenly carry around in my pocket was unreal. Back then, the idea of having console-quality games on a portable screen felt like some futuristic sci-fi dream that just… happened to land in my lap.
