Installing a septic tank riser kit

I will be installing a septic tank riser kit to raise the height of the cover so that it complies with the new CT state code. After some research, I have selected a Tuf-Tite riser kit, as the install did not require anchor bolts in the top of my septic tank. I chose to raise the cover to comply with the new septic code, but keep it below the sod layer. This means for each septic cleanout, the cover will need to be unearthed.

The only additional material needed is a tube of roofing tar.

Check your local state/city code to ensure your septic tank cover is in compliance.
