Jim Fousekis received a Special Recognition Award at the Ed Roberts Awards for his service to TheCIL as head of the Friends of CIL from 1984-1988. During this time, Jim helped to secure TheCIL's financial future with private funding.

Jim is a retired lawyer (BA UC Berkeley; LLB Yale Law School), who practiced commercial litigation in San Francisco for over 40 years until retiring 11 years ago. A long time supporter, Fousekis chronicled TheCIL's early history in his book, "Spiro & Marie - Looking Back and Giving Back."
