Alphabet (the conglomerate of which Google is a part) is one of the five great giants of the internet. Google is by far the most used search engine, YouTube is the most watched video platform and Android, the most used operating system on the planet.
This gives Alphabet a monopoly position in many industries. And that generates great misgivings in the antitrust authorities. The European Union has fined Google several times for what they consider abuse of a dominant position. The United States is also investigating this company. But what exactly are they accusing Google of? What do they mean when they say it is abusing its dominant position? In this video we tell you.
