Highlights of the extremely exciting bout between two great southpaw fighters; Prince Naseem Hamed and “The Flushing Flash” Kevin Kelley in December 1997. Kelley came in with a record of 47-1-2 with only one loss in 1995 against Alenjandro Gonzalez while The Prince came in undefeated with a record of 28-0 with 26 knockouts.

This was Kelley’s 51st career bout. Hamed was making the 9th defense of his WBO Featherweight title.

Prior to this fight, Hamed had wins over Daniel Alicea, Billy Hardy, Tom Johnson, Manuel Medina, Steve Robinson and Juan Polo Perez while Kelley had victories over Gregorio Vargas, Derrick Gainer, Troy Dorsey, Orlando Fernandez, Jesus Salud, Jesse Benavides, Louie Espinoza.

The fight was explosive from start to finish, as both fighters scored multiple knockdowns against on another throughout the short but highly competitive battle with amazing back and forth action where power punches are traded non stop.
