WICKENBURG RANCH/ONE OF ARIZONA'S FINEST GOLF COURSES!/PART¹

Wickenburg Ranch is nestled about an hour drive northwest of Phoneix in the middle of desert. But the drive was well worth it. Not only do they have a championship golf course here called Big Wick, they also have one of the best par 3 courses I've ever seen, Lil' Wick.

This is probably one of the most uniquely designed courses I've ever played, and I mean that in a good way. Some of the approach shots into the greens and lines off the tees really made you think. This was the only course that I grabbed a yardage book for as advised by the club pro and I'm sure glad I did.

As you'll see, we struggled to score on Big Wick. The course was tricky, greens were fast and once the wind picked up it got even harder. Regardless, we had a blast playing this hidden gem in the desert.

We highly recommend giving this course a go if you're in the AZ area for golf. It was a good drive from civilization but you can easily spend an entire day here with the two courses, food and putting green.
