7 Wonders of Western Spain

En route north from Algeciras to Santander for our return ferry to the UK, we were treated to what can only be described as a mind-blowing road-trip experience. From sightings of the rare black Ibis on the Costa de Luz, treading in the footsteps of Romans, searching for a homemade submarine and stumbling across the world's best preserved city walls. Not forgetting the joys of the Picos mountains and a watery tale we uncovered and finding one of Spain's most beautiful villages on the northern coast, this was so much more than a trip back to Blighty.
