One Belt One Road: Chinese Power Meets the World
The One Belt One Road initiative has become the largest infrastructure program in history. Nearly every Chinese province, city, major business, bank, and university have been mobilized to serve it, spending hundreds of billions of dollars overseas building ports and railroads, laying fiber cables, and launching satellites. How has One Belt One Road worked to attract partners for China both economically and diplomatically? What are China’s motives for the One Belt One Road project and how can the West compete with the growing empire? Join FPRI’s Jacques deLisle and Oxford doctoral candidate Eyck Freymann for answers to these questions and more as they discuss Freymann’s new book, One Belt One Road: Chinese Power Meets the World.
