Edna Thompson suffered a stroke 59 miles away from Columbus. Fortunately, her local hospital is connected to the OhioHealth stroke network. Within 6 minutes upon her arrival, the states most experienced stroke specialists began her evaluation. She was then airlifted to Columbus where she was administered a clot dissolving stroke stopping drug. Four days later she was able to return home with her husband.
