In Kenya each new day of an extreme rainy season is adding to the devastation faced by communities. Many parts of the country have been dealing with weeks of torrential rain. At least 71 people died overnight from Sunday to Monday after a dam exploded near the town of Mai Maihu, triggering an emergency order for all reservoirs to be inspected within a day. FRANCE 24’s Olivia Bizot reports from Mathare, a flood-stricken area in Nairobi.
