PARA APP SHUT DOWN: This Is The End

Many of us have recently learned that the Para app tip transparency has been shut down by a coding change by DoorDash. DoorDash has decided they did not approve of the app that allowed its drivers to see the total payout of a particular order before the order was accepted. From the beginning, Para has believed that the best way to be successful was to help deliver drivers make more money and many Para app users were seeing higher earnings after using Para.

Many drivers are worried they may never be able to see the total payout ever again, which is leading to drivers no longer delivering for DoorDash. Dashers do not believe it is fair for DoorDash to continue to hide tips from their independent contractors. These contractors are demanding that they need all of the information available to them before they decide to accept an offer. I believe there are still opportunities for drivers to be able to see the full payout on the Dasher app and this may just be the beginning of hidden tip scandal.
