What a fantastic morning at Manchester Airport on this day of Wednesday 24th May 2017!! FOOTBALL CHARTERS!! We got to the viewing point of RWY23L at 05:50am, set up and anticipating charters to show and they didn't disappoint. The Go-around of SAUDI B777-3 on RWY23R was a great surprise.

The highlight of the day was seeing a classic MD-82 again, sound and noise! These days the classics are becoming even harder to see. My favorite days of spotting are seeing BA/European BAC-1-11's, Balkan/Hemus/VIA Tu-154B2/M, Viscounts, Vanguards, TU-134, Concorde BA & Air France, lots of 727s & 737-200's, Il-62s, HS748s, Bae 146, ATP, DC-9s, B707s, DC-8s, Tristars, Boeing 747-100/200/300s, DC-10-10/30, we had a great variety of aircraft!! They were the days. Smoke & certainly lots of noise!!!
