I found this tiny Argentinian bakery in rural Vermont!

A self-taught baker is bringing flavors from her childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a small farm stand in Southern Vermont.

Natalia Meijome fills the Tiny Bread Box to the brim on Saturday mornings. It offers a rotating menu with muffins, milk bread, donuts and more. Shown in this video are crispy, heart-shaped palmeritas, a popular pastry around the world.

Meijome moved around a lot as a child. After leaving Buenos Aires, she said she couldn’t find the Argentinian desserts she used to love. So, she learned to bake them herself.

She and her husband built this red farmstand on top of a hill near just across the street from their house. Now, the Tiny Bread Box sells out regularly.

To order, choose an item from the computerized display, open the Tiny Bread Box door and grab a treat.
