Artist designing murals in support of Iranian women

Filmmaker and Muralist Hooman Khalili discusses his mural projects which support Iranian women fighting against their country’s oppressive regime.

Mr Khalili said two prominent Israelis approached him and expressed their wish for murals in support of Iranian women.

“Miraculously, 26 days later, the first mural was born in Jerusalem,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“When that mural went up on January 9th 2023, for one day the eyes of the world came upon Israel … everybody loved the state of Israel on January 9th because that was the first mural in the Middle East in support of the freedom-fighting women of Iran.”
