Toxic rocket fuel component Melange removed from Bishkek with OSCE support
The OSCE with the financial support of Germany and the United States of America fully removed rocket fuel component Melange from Kyrgyzstan. For more than two decades, the toxic rocket fuel was stored in deteriorated reservoirs in a military storage site in Novopavlovka, in the busy suburbs of the capital Bishkek, posing a serious threat to the local community of more than 21,000 people and the environment.
