How to Change your Motorcycle Clutch Plates: 2006 Yamaha R1

Replacing your clutch plates is very easy and saves you a ton of money! All wet clutches are going to be similar to this video.

The hardest part is getting the clutch cover lined back up and on the bike. The cover must be lined up with the arm that comes from the clutch pressure plate. The easiest way to do this is to look down the oil fill hole and line the two pieces up. Once they are lined up move the clutch actuator (where the clutch cable connects) backward toward the rear of the bike. Then bolt down the cover and re install your clutch cable. You may need to adjust your clutch cable back to the right tension.
