Tech Ingredients's formula:
36% Smoke Dye, 27% Potassium Chlorate, 18% Sugar, 16% magnesium Carbonate, 3% Sodium Bicarbonate.

The formula for the military’s red M-18:
Solvent red 1 34.2%
Disperse red 11 6.8%
Potassium Chlorate 17.7%
Magnesium Carbonate 9.6%
TPA 14.0 %
Sugar 17.7%
Stearic Acid 0.5%

My Modified Formula:
Potassium Chlorate 17.7%
Magnesium Carbonate 9.6%
“Red Smoke Dye” 55 %
Sugar 17.7%
Stearic Acid 0.5% -optional
