Sheriff Rick Staly's Weekend Roundup: January 20-23, 2023

A Jacksonville man who battered an elderly man after a road rage incident was one of 15 arrests made last weekend by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) between 6am on January 20, 2023, and 6am on January 23, 2023. Over the weekend, deputies handled 868 calls for service along with 114 traffic stops.

“FCSO deputies and the FCSO Real Time Crime Center did a great job using our technological resources to quickly locate a man who intentionally shoved an elderly man and then fled - leaving the man on the ground bleeding,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “This incident could have been much more serious. You should always control your anger. Detectives are continuing to investigate the auto burglaries and were able to quickly obtain suspect information after one of the victim’s credit cards was used at a local gas station.”
