Non-toxic alternative to UV resin for polymer clay ✨

If you prefer to avoid working UV resin or can’t use it due to allergies, here’s a great alternative: gloss varnish ❤️

✨ Cernit Varnish

Water based and non-toxic.

Apply 2-3 layers on the baked pieces, allow each layer to dry for 1 hour. Once dry, bake the pieces with varnish for 15 minutes at 110°C.

Tip: this varnish is more liquid and creates a thin coating on polymer clay pieces.

✨ Sculpey Glaze

Water based and non-toxic.

Apply the glaze on baked clay. Let it dry for 30 minutes between layers. Fully dries after 24 hours. No need to bake.

Tip: this varnish is thicker and if applied generously can create a dome effect similar to UV resin.
