E536: "Frozen Forms 2"
Liked the pause + orbit camera way of spinning around a frozen snapshot of the particles, so added a convenience script to automate it on a single keypress - pauses, activates the debug orbit camera, does a single orbit (with ease in/out curve), then goes back to normal camera and unpauses.
Also hooked it up to an audio trigger, so in the video I trigger by clicking fingers/clapping hands - but forgot to unmute laptop mic so that audio input didn't get recorded. Whoops!
VFX uses inverted fluid sim obstacle to keep sim flow internal only to metaball particles, and the smaller solid particles have projected depth kill so they only survive and move when backed by the metaball - doesn't achieve the intended "small particles flowing inside the metaball" look, as they are still only spawning on the person depth. Orbit camera also shows how they are moving in front and behind the metaball due to the 2D projection.
Need to rewrite spawning buffers to use entire screen (not just depth camera point cloud) so can easily spawn particles on/in eg logos, metaballs or other geometry.
