I made a quick brush calligraphy piece that says - The thing about the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

I used an expressive modern calligraphy style for this. The style is based on muscular movement, and quick and expressive strokes to enhance movement and rhythm.

For this, I used vanilla-colored cardstock paper and a purple-colored Pentel Sign Brush Pen.
I also made some quick guidelines using a mechanical pencil and a rolling ruler.
