The Olympian surfer that beat Italo Ferreira as a CT Wildcard, Bryan Perez jumped into the 10-minute paddle challenge to see how long he could hold the pace on the trainer. The burn set in fast, and he was quick to point out how easily it delivers a legit workout while building real paddling endurance, even when you’re not in the water.

He said it’s an easy way to stay paddle-ready while traveling, during flat spells, or anytime you’re not getting enough time in the ocean. A lot of surfers focus on turns and riding waves, but paddling is one of the foundations that actually drives progression.
