Balloon cell nevus & melanoma Phillip McKee & Corey Georgesen and Kiko.com

Balloon cell nevus and melanoma are very rare histological variants in which lesional cells (due to melanosome vacuolization) have cytoplasm which is variably granular, bubbly or even clear in appearance. It can be very difficult to distinguish nevus from melanoma. This video shows a number of balloon cell nevi and melanoma with emphasis on the differential diagnosis.
