What a fitting quote for today's vlog! No, I know I'm not going bald, it was just pleasant happenstance to find a message that involved hair.

Today, my dermatologist compared pictures of my scalp from 2 months ago and confirmed I have Telogen Effluvium AND Female Pattern Alopecia. The differences between the two regard triggers and areas of hair loss. Since my hair thinned on the sides, the back, the temples, and my part, he confidently concluded my diagnosis and proceeded to explain treatment options.

There were some tears at the end of the day, but there was nothing shameful about them. It's a perfectly understandable reaction to receiving unwanted news. Unlike the person in today's quote though, I will not wait to go bald (i.e. age) before learning to use a comb. Experiences - all of them - prepare us for tomorrow and I plan on using every comb in my drawer to make the best of every day.
