Kingdom Hearts III - How to Fix the Combat?

It's been about a year since the game was released, and with the DLC coming out real soon, I wanted to touch upon how to possibly fix the frequently mentioned issues remaining, from both my many KH3 playthroughs and what others have been talking about as well. Although it may or may not be too late to get anything fixed, it's always worth discussing them.
