High and Low lights from the 2022 Kastner Cup weekend at PittRace

We took the Baja TR3 to the Kastner Cup held in conjunction with the 2022 Pittsburgh Vintage GrandPrix held at PittRace (what a great Track). This car competed in the 1967 Mexican 1000 and since being restored in the 2016 it has competed and participated in quite a few Off Road Races and Events including the Mexican 500 in 2017. In 2021 it was pulled from the Peterson Museum and partially converted to Road Race Trim to run in the 2022 Kastner Cup.
The car is still very heavy (2,600 lbs) but down about 1,000 lbs from it's Baja trim. It is also extremely stiff with those behind the Car commenting that it three wheels through Corners. The ride height is way higher than even a Stock TR3. It was a handful to drive but very entertaining. The next Kastner Cup will be at Road America in 2023. If it makes that trip it will be further developed into a Road Race car leaving it's Baja days in the rear view.
