Antonín Dvořák - Symphonie n°7Head to the Radio France Auditorium for our first classical concert of 2021! For our reunion, the Orchester National de France strikes hard by performing a world creation by Pascal Zavaro alongside violinist Julia Fischer. A beautiful program, which also honors César Franck and Antonín Dvořák.

The concert opens with The Cursed Hunter by César Franck. At times reminiscent of Wagner's Valkyrie and inspired by a ballad by Gottfried August Bürger, this symphonic poem is steeped in German culture. A crazy cavalcade punctuated by the hunting horn.

The Orchester National de France and Julia Fischer then introduce us to a world creation. Together, the musicians indeed perform the Concerto for violin and orchestra by Pascal Zavaro. A collaboration that reminds us of another: in 2012, the ensemble and the composer already created a commission called the Battle of San Romano.

We part ways on Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 7. By interweaving pastoral sweetness, mystery and tempestuous rage, the composer gives us here one of his most romantic works.
