Viggo Mortensen on Falling — a drama about forgiveness and the responsibility that comes with family

Viggo Mortensen is one of the greatest actors of our time, having appeared in more than 50 films, including The Lord of the Rings franchise, Eastern Promises and The Road. Now, he’s made his directorial debut with Falling — which he also wrote and co-stars in — about a gay man who must care for his ailing, irritable and homophobic father. Ahead of its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Mortensen joined Tom Power to tell us how the film examines acceptance, empathy and tense family dynamics.
