15. Blood Necklace

Angelina Jolie is no stranger to being in the spotlight, especially since the majority of the world views her behavior as out of the ordinary. One time that Jolie grabbed everyone’s attention was during her relationship with Billy Bob Thornton. They met each other while filming Pushing Tin. Thornton was engaged to Laura Dern at the time, but he left the actress soon after meeting Angie. The two lovebirds got married the year they started dating. However, the part of their relationship that earned them a place in the limelight was their blood vial necklaces. Everyone believed it was pretty weird for a couple to keep vials of each other’s blood with them wherever they went. Despite their fiery romance, they got divorced in 2003. Since then, Thornton has spoke out about the infamous necklaces. He stated, “The necklaces were a very simple thing…’Hey, let’s poke our finger with a pin and smear a little on there, and when we’re away from each other, we’ll wear the necklace’... but by the time it came out in the press, it sounded like we were wearing a bucket of blood around our necks.”

14. Charitable Work

This star is also well-known for her charitable work. In 2003, she bought a house in Cambodia so that her son, Maddox, could connect with the country he was born in. The home was near the Samlout national park, which was facing a lot of problems due to poachers in the area. She ended up buying the park and turning it into a wildlife reserve, which she named the Maddox Jolie Project (later called the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation). Angelina used the organization to establish the first Millennium Village in Asia. The center became home to seventy-two employees and six thousand villagers; it encompassed roads, schools, and even a soy milk factory. Jolie also began supporting the Harnas Wildlife Foundation in Namibia. In 2010, she and Brad Pitt founded the Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which assists with the conservation efforts of the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary. She and Pitt also help other charities via the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which was established in 2006.
