Russia buys their own gold with rubles. We are witnessing the division between the G7 Countries and countries such as India, South Africa, Brazil, China and Russia. Now that the G7 are no longer going to buy gold from Russia will without question have an impact on the value of Gold. I believe that if gold follows the trend of what happened to the ruble over the last six months that we could be entering an era of strong gold prices.

This is also going to incentivize further transactions between Russia, India, China, South Africa and other countries to buy and trade oil, gold and other goods at more cost effective rates thus making things even harder on western countries.

If you asked me where I think the price of gold is going for gold investors over the next few months to a year I would say that it is possible we see gold prices increase and we see more and more people around the world desperately investing in gold, silver and more items that they can take custodial ownership of.

We are witnessing the end of fiat currencies over the next decade and more and more people are waking up to this. Especially the BRICs countries.
