We had a new mammal visitor today.

You may also know woodchucks as groundhogs or whistle pigs.

Groundhogs are common in Ohio, but we have never seen one on our property until today.

Interestingly, one of the holes in our backyard has had a lot of recent activity with new dirt being cleared out. Now we are wondering if this burrowing animal has moved in!

Woodchucks are large rodents that eat a mostly vegetarian diet.
