Circular Saw Restoration (Old and Flood-Soaked)

I was about to purchase another circular saw because I had the other one a permanent workforce on the DIY table saw then I found this little old gem in the girlfriend's home backyard. Owned and brought from the USA by her grandfather many, many years ago. The tool was just another junk in the yard and some back story about the tool was abandoned in a flooded area and to worst, it was partially submerged in the flood water. And I thought this tool would be the very best candidate for some serious repair and restoration.

Here's the timeline of restoring the vintage Black and Decker Sawforce Model 7359 circular saw:

00:00 - See the rust, dust, mud, and molds of the old circular saw.
00:18 - Dismantle the whole thing.
01:00 - Spray some WD-40 to rusted area.
01:04 - A set of Torx driver is NEEDED.
01:45 - Remove circular saw spring pin
02:18 - Very dirty motor armature.
02:34 - Remove carbon brushes.
02:44 - Test the motor stator copper winding by using a multimeter.
02:54 - Test the circular saw trigger switch continuity.
03:05 - Test the armature commutator contacts side-by-side.
03:42 - WD-40 is everything! Used in most of rust removal jobs.
04:05 - Wash plastic parts with water and detergent and brush.
04:42 - Use kerosene in cleaning greasy metal parts. In my case I used a bottle of paint thinner.
05:50 - Use WipeOut dirt remover in cleaning the electric motor housing.
06:05 - Replace the carbon brushes!
06:15 - Grease and lube electric motor commutator contacts.
06:40 - Grease and lube electric motor bearings.
06:50 - Apply generous amounts of all purpose grease into circular saw's gear box.
08:13 - CHURCH THE FRENCH BULLDOG IS DOIN A HECKIN' HALP.
08:25 - Testing the electric motor.
08:45 - Remove massive rust by grinding, brushing, hammering, scraping, filing, and scratching.
10:07 - Cover labels with masking type before painting.
10:45 - Favorite part: Assembly time!
11:00 - Put back spring pin by hammering it down hard.
12:21 - At the local hardware (Butuan Express Hardware) to purchase a brand new circular saw blade.
12:52 - Install the new 7" 40T Lotus circular saw blade.
13:10 - Test and demo of the newly repaired and restored Black and Decker Sawforce circular saw!
