Difficulty in video games is an endlessly engaging topic. I've ranked bosses in video games for years now, often ranking the boss difficulty. After all this time, I'd finally like to put my own hat into the difficulty discussion in gaming as a whole. We'll talk about difficulty in the "hardest games", how difficulty manifests in "easy games," and the difficulty levels that try to bridge the gap between. Through this, I hope to convey why I feel difficulty in video games is important.

This is my second "video essay" style video. Making videos in this style takes an immense amount of time (this one well over 100 hours), but I absolutely love making content like this.
