DIY solar battery tender (12v) for less than $100

This video shows a 10 minute project for a DIY solar battery tender. Total cost is around $70. The 25W solar panel will keep the battery fully charged at all time. Long story short, we didn't drive the Subaru for a long time (many, many months) and the battery totally died. After replacing it, I wanted a way to keep it charged. I used a 25W solar panel I had laying around, a basic PWM solar charge controller, and some basic wiring to make a fully renewable charger!
Materials used:

I used a 30A solar charge controller which is totally overkill - https://amzn.to/3wDAaXe
A 10 amp charge controller would work fine - https://amzn.to/3fLwAUW
DC jack connectors (super handy around the house) - https://amzn.to/3d33xup
14 gauge wire - https://amzn.to/3t1cOsb
mini jumper cables (not really necessary) - https://amzn.to/3rYmQZO
