Jadranska Magistrala - 3. Marina-Klis - Traumstrasse an der Adria

Der 3. Abschnitt der traumhaften Strecke von Zadar nach Dubrovnik führt uns von Marina nach Klis bei Split.
Von der Festung hoch oben auf dem Bergrücken soll man einen grandiosen Ausblick auf Split und die Adria haben. Das wollten wir uns doch nicht entgehen lassen.

The third section of the fantastic route from Zadar to Dubrovnik now from Marina to Klis near Split.
From the fortress of Klis high up on the hill you have a magnificent view of Split and the Adriatic Sea. We did not want to miss it.
The present fortress was built in the 7th century. The place can look back on a long, moving history: first served as a palace for Croatian kings and then fell under the rule of the Ottomans, the Venetians and the Holy Roman Empire.
