Parliament Winter Session; Opposition slams centre over ‘Consultation’ charge | India Upfront

On India Upfront with Madhavdas G, today we discuss how the parliament winter session has been cancelled citing reasons of COVID pandemic. Opposition on the other hand has alleged that the decision was not consulted. ‘17 members were infected before the session started and many were infected after that’, says Nupur Sharma, National Spokesperson, BJP. Ashutosh, a political analyst states that Bihar polls happened amidst the COVID pandemic. Ghanshyam Tiwari, Spokesperson SP, slams the Modi-led government and says, ‘Parliament has become a ‘haunted’ place for PM Modi’. Ashutosh further questions ‘If a large number of people can visit the small office of BJP in Bihar after the poll results, then why Parliament session cannot be held?’
