Not every Robert Rodriguez film has received critical acclaim, but even his most panned films tend to get cult followings. Take for example The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, which did not go over well with critics in 2005, but a lot of kids loved it. When it was announced that the now-grown-up heroes would be appearing in Rodriguez’s upcoming film We Can Be Heroes, the internet rejoiced.
