1982 iron restoration (unedited)
Today it's restoration time. Let's restore a vintage 1982 Czechoslovak Eta iron and also see how does it work and what's inside. It's rated 220V 1200W, the heater is 42 ohms, and it has a 1.5V 0.2A tungsten lamp indicator in it, powered using a shunt. And of course a bimetal thermostat, and that's it, there's nothing else in it. Unedited video, except pausing the phone camera.
