Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #70 in 4K: Spectacular Weekend Progress - 12/07/20 (5:00pm)

Hey what’s going on everyone, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows the result of a spectacular weekend of work at the site. Usually weekends have been relatively tame with a slowdown in work or the work being done doesn’t show very many visual updates. This was not the case for this past weekend! The steel structure has grown significantly and is expanding at both ends while at the south of the site, the isolation foundation disappears into the ground and the large concrete structure doubled in size. These are among many exciting updates to be seen.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
- On the north end, we see that the 3rd level on the south end of the steel structure we suspected has actually been erected, as well as parts of 2 additional sections south of this one. Many of the “Triple X” braces have been erected as well. On the opposite end of this structure, we can also see another full section and a “Triple X” brace in place here as well. Lots of roof trusses have been installed and the steel floor and roof decking is covering the majority of floor and roof space that is in place to accommodate it. The section of footers to the southeast of this structure is almost completely to the “zipper” and it looks like they have added in the neighborhood of about 20-25 of these just over the weekend! Lastly, we can see that the steel deliveries are working their way even further south of the structure as well.
The west side now has lots of concrete poured in the trench and crews are adding rebar down the middle of the trench along with some of the first formwork at the north end for what will be the outer wall. We can also see that rebar is also in place in the center of each square along the trench, just inside of the line for the wall.
- On the east side, the “zipper” has had formwork and rebar squares setup and put in place within the cutout notches, for what looks to be more than half of the footings or foundations that will line this area.
- The south end shows extreme progress with the fill dirt being packed around the isolation foundation as soon as formwork is removed for the purpose of bringing the ground around it level with the rest of the site. We see that they have brought in a conveyor belt system as the answer to the question many of us had regarding how they would fill dirt in areas within the isolation foundation that needed it. The flooring atop the structure has spread almost completely across the north end and the southwest end where the flooring first started looks completely covered in reba. The concrete structure has 2 completed rows of roofing consisting of the “Double Ts” and they already have the first horizontal crossbeam in place for the 3rd row and additional beams currently nearby ready to be raised along with others actively being removed from trucks.
