Hi Everyone,

This video is all about our road trip from Noida to Meghalaya. In this video, we majorly talked about:
Route/Time
Cost(Fuel and Toll)
Road conditions/Roadside Amenities
Network on the way
Night Travel safe or not

Before starting our trip, we did not make any booking on the way as we have to reach Meghalaya within 72 hrs of our RT-PCR report. So we decided to make our booking on the go, based upon how tired we are and timings.

Day-0
After refueling our car we started from Noida. Straight took Taj Expressway till Agra and Agra-Lucknow Expressway till. We kept moving throughout the night and had our dinner in the car itself. Near Ayodhya, we have to take a halt due to flat tyre at 3:50 am. Fortunately, the fuel station was just across the road from where we got help to fix it. It took one hour to fix and resume our journey. We started feeling little drowsy after crossing Gorakhpur so decided to take a nap next to a petrol pump. After one hour we were fully energized to get back on road.

Day-1
Though day 0 and day 1 are in continuation. But on this day we crossed Bihar and entered Siliguri in West Bengal. We were aware that fuel in Bihar little costly than in UP so we re-fueled our car before entering Bihar and had our Breakfast on the go. Just to mention here that we have packed back-seat full with all the eatables on the go. Almost at lunch time, we felt like stopping to stretch our legs and had lunch. After lunch we resumed our journey.

Best thing about road trip is that we can stop wherever we want. So it was the time of sunset and we could not miss a sunset. We stopped for some pictures and got back on road. At this time we were feeling tired and need some rest. So, we decided to book a hotel in Siliguri. We directly called to the hotel and made our bookings in Siliguri. To mentioned here that network connectivity throughout is really good. From Purnia we took highway 327 for Siliguri this shortened our route. We reached our hotel in Siliguri at around 12:30 in the night, had our dinner and directly went to sleep.

Day-2
We started from hotel in Siliguri early at 5:50 am for Shillong. As soon as we left Siliguri, tea gardens starts to appear on both sides of road. We stopped for some time and took some pics. We did not stop anywhere between Siliguri and Assam. After entering Assam we had our Lunch at a Dhaba recommended by Policeman at Assam Border. After having lunch, we went non-stop till Meghalaya as we were not sure about Meghalaya check-post timings.

Yes, we made it to the Meghalaya check post within 48 hours.

We followed the same itinerary on return. Only change was that we stopped at Gorakhpur rather than Siliguri. Details on our stays in Siliguri and Gorakhpur are as below:

Hotel in Siliguri: Hotel Saluja
