That’s just one viola with a couple of effects

How to achieve this effect with any instrument using Logic’s stock plugins:

I’m using three sends to three different buses from the main track. A bit of reverb is added to the main voice, and then two different delays.

These delays are split across different beats, as you can see in the screenshot. One of them runs unchanged, with just some EQ. The other one drops the sound down an octave and works on the 2nd and 5th eighth notes.

I use this effect with hardware as well, but in Logic you can apply it to absolutely any instrument — even to vocals.

Which string instrument do you think responds best to this kind of delay and pitch-shifting setup?
